The golden thread.

Wild stories concerning love, jealousy, envy and revenge ensured that Rhine gold became the classical source in art, literature and music: According to the legend the Nibelungen lived around 500 A.D. in a castle at Worms am Rhein.

The courageous dragon slayer Siegfried gave to Kriemhild on the morning after their wedding night, a treasure to bind their union; 144 horse carts full of gold and jewels. Siegfrieds adversary Hagen of Tronje murdered Siegfried and sank the 144 horse carts in the Rhine.

Now we can again lift this treasure and spin the golden thread into more webs. A unique opportunity to connect tradition with the modern handcraft art of the goldsmith, the myth of Rhine gold remains alive.
